Report
The Volleyball Association of Ireland was renamed Volleyball Ireland in 2017 and the 2017-18 VI Division 1 Men (2nd Division) was won by IT Carlow by two points from Aer Lingus Masters.
The following year the Division went up to 11 teams following the addition of Dalkey Devils, Impact VC and KVC. The Division was won that year (2018-19) by Aer Lingus Chiefs with a perfect 10 Wins from 10 and 30 Points.
The Division dropped back down to 9 teams for 2019-20 with the loss of Dalkey Devils, UCD, Santry and Impact VC, although there was the addition of te wonderfully-named Longford Smashers VC (a nod to the Longford Slashers GAA Club), the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic which forced the cancellation of all sporting activity.
