AMPRO, who organised the EuroBowl in 1995, released their end-of-season European American Football Rankings in September 1995. Germany’s Dusseldorf Panther were the number 1 ranked team in Europe, followed by Italy’s Legnano Frogs, French team Aix-en-Provence Argonautes, two English sides – Birmingham Bulls and London Olympians – and Finland’s Helsinki Roosters. Hanau Hawks, the German team who had defeated Ireland’s National Team 19-6 in a friendly on 3rd September 1995, were ranked seventh. [Ref: 3]
