Glenanne opened and finished the scoring at Wesley College to take the win. Brad Venter put them in front after they had the better start with a shot on his back foot, and they went two up just after halftime as Shannon Boucher netted a drag-flick. YMCA got a goal back as Tom Brophy (newly arrived from Cork) snuck the ball over the line and another new arrival from Munster (Waterford), Harry Carthy slammed the ball into the net from a crashing Grant Glutz pass into the area, with two minutes left.
